Mural for the new space at University of Leeds’ Student Union called ‘Peace of Mind’.

The brief for the project was set by Sheila Bird Studio in Manchester, an independent design studio specialising in brand, architecture and interior design, who has designed for Missguided, Hilton House and Access Creative College to name a few.

‘Peace of Mind’ is an additional relaxation area and quiet study space. A hub to get away from the main social area and get some quiet time - to study or to chill.

The plaque description reads: “Emily was born in Leeds and Peace of Mind is her first ever commission. Peace of Mind represents the importance of mental well being. In this artwork, she wanted to both empower students to work alone, and encourage students to work together. The importance of working peacefully is highlighted in this piece”.
